Flexo Press Operator Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures that the job is set up properly with Press Assistant.
  2. Perform routine maintenance on schedule and according to procedure to promote machine stability and dependability.
  3. Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality.
  4. Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
  5. Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
  6. Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations.
  7. Focuses on Continuous Improvement, Quality, Improved Cycle Times, Safety, Cost Reductions, and Customer Satisfaction.
  8. Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
  9. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Flexo Press Operator Requirements

  1. HS Diploma or GED required.
  2. 3 yrs. min. Flexographic Printing experience preferred.
  3. Previous print industry experience is required.
  4. 3 yrs. machinery repair or manufacturing experience required.
  5. Possess excellent computer skills.
  6. Prior experience troubleshooting printing-related challenges.
  7. Knowledge/experience of plates, stocks, cold foils, hot stamps, screens, inks, and varnishes.
  8. Ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  9. Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift.
  10. Must be able to differentiate and reduce between color variance.
  11. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
  12. Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
  13. Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.
  14. Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.
  15. Ability to work well with others.
