Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in flexographic printing press operation; 2+ years’ supervisory capacity in a printing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a minimum 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing 20+ front-line employees.
• Extensive flexographic printing and press operations experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety policies, procedures, and standards are followed throughout the press department.
• Directs and coordinates daily activities to achieve production, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Holds employees accountable to policies, safety standards, attendance, and production requirements.
• Coaches employees and addresses performance through documentation and action plans.
• Reviews production schedules and prioritizes workflow to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Monitors KPIs including Safety, Quality, Waste, Productivity, Downtime, OEE, and On-Time Delivery.
• Oversees setup, operation, and changeover activities on all press equipment.
• Performs employee evaluations and provides ongoing coaching and development.
• Collaborates with Maintenance, Quality, Prepress, Scheduling to resolve production issues.
• Maintains proper use and storage of anilox rolls, sleeves, and press tooling.
• Analyzes 3DQC reports and print quality data to drive quality improvements.
• Monitors startup efficiencies, run speeds, and waste reduction initiatives.
