Job summary

Oliver Healthcare Packaging is seeking a Press Operator Assistant for our Feasterville facility. The role involves mounting flexographic plates, preparing print jobs, and verifying materials before setup, while assisting the press operator during runs and changeovers.

The assistant will help maintain quality, organize equipment, and support ink management and maintenance. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in manufacturing, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and safe operation of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mount flexographic printing plates accurately according to job specifications and SOPs.
• Prepare upcoming print jobs by reviewing tickets, artwork, print cylinders, sleeves, rolls, inks, and tooling.
• Verify materials are available prior to job setup.
• Assist the press operator during make-ready, changeovers, and runs.
• Clean, inspect, and organize printing plates, sleeves, cylinders, rolls, and related equipment.
• Ensure plates mounted correctly for proper registration and print quality.
• Assist with ink preparation and viscosity checks as required.
• Support troubleshooting related to print quality and press performance.
• Maintain production documentation and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning.
