Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Dallas is seeking an entry-level Feeder/Floor Helper to assist the First Press Operator in operating and maintaining the assigned press.

You will read job tickets, bring stock and ink, set up feeders, align colors, perform make-ready tasks, and help ensure quality and on-time production. The role requires color perception, basic math, and willingness to work overtime; we offer training and a supportive team in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong color perception and ability to pass color hue/vision tests.
• Experience with feeding on a sheet-fed press desired.
• Basic math and data-entry skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals and procedure documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the First Press Operator in the operation and maintenance of the assigned press.
• Read instructions from job tickets and prepare stock, ink, and colors as required.
• Set up feeder, in-feed and delivery systems; ensure correct layout and registration.
• Perform make-ready activities and color verification, including trims, bleeds and squareness checks.
• Washes press during changeovers or shift end; ensure safety and housekeeping.
