You will read job orders, load dies, install print cylinders, mix inks, adjust stock alignment, and inspect outputs for quality. The role emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and consistent, high-quality prints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related flexographic printing press experience preferred.
• Ability to read rulers and measurement devices.
• Regularly stand and frequently walk; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required.

Responsibilities

• Reads job order, loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and press.
• Fills ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Starts press, adjusting speed and stock alignment to the print cylinder as necessary.
• Engages print cylinders; adjusts impression and runs down approval strip.
• Cuts sample of approval strip, inspects for imperfections and makes adjustments.
• Cleans plates, cylinders and dies; performs routine maintenance as required.
• Mixes inks to produce desired colors and viscosity.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
