Job summary

Resource Label Group, LLC is seeking a Flexo Press Operator to set up and operate a printing press for labels and related products. The role runs Monday through Thursday with 10-hour days and overtime as needed.

You will read job orders, load dies, mix inks, and ensure color accuracy while maintaining equipment and safety standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and at least 1 year of flexographic press experience; die cutter experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 1 year flexographic printing press experience preferred
• Die cutter experience a plus
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Must read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices
• Standing and walking regularly; able to lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Vision requirements include close, color, depth perception and focus adjustment

Responsibilities

• Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press
• Fills ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks
• Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary
• Engages print cylinders; adjusts printing impression as necessary, places print cylinders lead-to-lead and runs down approval strip
• Catches and inspects for imperfections such as print to print out of register, print to die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments
• Cleans plates, print cylinders and dies as needed; performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance
• Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
• Other duties as assigned

Flexo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the printing press to produce labels and related products.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 10 hour day shift (Overtime as needed)

***Qualified applicants only. There is not a need for a forklift driver in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
