Job summary

Tractor Supply Company seeks a Relief Veterinarian to provide in-person preventive care at community clinics as an independent contractor. You’ll exercise professional judgment while meeting standards of care, patient safety, and documentation. Assignments are variable with no minimum hours or guarantees.

Open to recent graduates who meet licensing requirements. The role requires travel to multiple clinic locations and adherence to credentialing processes as an independent contractor.

Qualifications

• Veterinary experience preferred; open to graduates meeting licensing requirements.
• Education: DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution required.
• Professional licensing: Current, unrestricted DVM license in each state where services will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite veterinarian services at weekday, evening and weekend Community Clinics for accepted assignments.
• Perform focused vitals checks (temperature, pulse, respiratory).
• Provide preventative veterinary services including vaccinations, limited diagnostics, microchipping, and nail trims.
• Educate pet parents regarding preventative healthcare and products.
• Complete and maintain required electronic medical records.
