Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Relief Veterinarian to provide in-person preventive care at Community Clinics under independent contractor terms. You may choose assignments, with no minimums or guarantees, and you will exercise professional judgment in line with veterinary standards.

The role emphasizes high-quality care, client education, and flexibility across weekday and weekend shifts. DVM licensure and credentialing are required, with ability to travel between clinic locations.

Qualifications

• Veterinary experience preferred; open to recent graduates meeting licensing requirements.
• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current, unrestricted DVM license in each state where services will be provided; credentialing applies.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite veterinarian services at Community Clinics on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Perform focused vitals checks (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Provide preventive services such as vaccinations, limited diagnostics, microchips, and nail trims.
• Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare and products.
• Complete and maintain required electronic medical records.
