Visiting Angels of Tupelo is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to support seniors in Northeast Mississippi, covering areas like Saltillo, Pontotoc, New Albany, Fulton, and more. The role focuses on keeping clients safe and comfortable at home with compassionate, person-centered care.

You will help with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, mobility, and medication reminders, while promoting independence and dignity. A strong sense of reliability and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping for client homes.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take medications on schedule.
• Assist with shopping and groceries or shop on their behalf.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients based on abilities.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or outings.
