Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer for the Summerville, SC area. This part-time role uses a shift-pickup platform to build a schedule across industries and may require irregular hours with little notice. Starting base pay is $16.50 per hour, with weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as workdays.

Training, uniforms, and security licenses are provided at no cost. The role emphasizes customer service, computer or tablet proficiency, and strong communication as you patrol

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check will be performed as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen may be required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be at least 18 (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console monitors.
• Strong public interaction, written and oral communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; mediate conflicts.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of infractions.
• Permit entry and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.
