Job summary

SafeSplash South Plainfield is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills with a fun, positive approach and to follow the Streamline Brands curriculum. You’ll provide constructive feedback, structure classes for repetition and skill introduction, and help ensure swimmer safety during lessons.

Preferred candidates may hold WSI, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications and experience with children from 6 months to 10 years, including those with Special Needs.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but training will be provided.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Current CPR/PR AED and First Aid preferred; certification assistance offered within 60 days.
• Experience teaching swimmers aged 6 months to 10 years and with Special Needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
• Structure class time to include repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
• Ensure swimmer safety.
