Job summary

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to join our team as Substitute Teaching Assistants. This role supports teachers and students in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, supporting students academically and emotionally, supervising during activities, and helping maintain a positive classroom climate. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required, with college coursework in education

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Assist classroom teachers with implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
Support students with their academic and emotional needs.
Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess.
Help maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
Adapt to various classroom settings and student needs.
Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff.
