Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a minimum of two years of college.
• Must be able to relate well to teachers, students, staff members and parents.
• Experience in a school or community setting working with children is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a CORI and fingerprinting check.
• DESE Licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency.
• Communicate with classroom teachers and principal regarding expectations for student work, behavior, and lesson execution.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.
• Ensure the teacher’s absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction.
• Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch, bus, or recess duty).
• Abide by state statutes, school committee policies and regulations
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information
• Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
• Assumes responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Education

Two years of college
