Job summary

GEODIS in Edwardsville, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate/MATERIAL HANDLER to receive, store, move and distribute materials, following schedules and orders for efficient logistics operations.

You will read production and shipping orders, convey items to storage or packing, and assemble customer orders for shipping. A reliable team player with basic lifting ability and up-to-date GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
• Ability to perform operations using US currency, weight, volume, and distance units.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, etc., to determine items to move or distribute.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places on pallets or conveys to packing/shipping.
