Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Variable Shift Patrol in Houston, TX. You will patrol various sites, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and support client needs with flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

The role offers growth opportunities within a nationwide security leader. Shifts vary week to week; you may be assigned irregular shifts with little notice to support client needs.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be willing to travel varying distances to work assignments.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
