Job summary

Allied Universal in Worcester, MA is seeking a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Driver to safeguard client sites across healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This role offers 30-40 hours per week with a mix of manager-assigned shifts and self-scheduled shifts.

Pay rate is $20.11 per hour. You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while preparing written reports.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background screening required.
Background check and drug screen as permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
Warn violators of infractions such as loitering or smoking.
Monitor entrances and exits and verify authorized access.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required.
Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
Make emergency notifications as required by site orders.
