PAM Voyages Behavioral Health of Conroe is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to work PRN under RN supervision. The role includes observing patients, assisting with admissions and discharges, and leading small group activities.

You will support nursing staff with vital signs and daily living activities in a high-touch clinical setting. The position emphasizes adaptation to patient acuity, age, and cultural considerations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification preferred where required by state.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan.
• Welcome new patients through admission protocols; assist with discharge processes.
• Maintain direct patient observation and lead patient education, community, goal, and activity groups.
• Assist nursing staff by taking vital signs and help patients perform ADLs.
• Respond to patient situations (codes, behavioral outbursts, contraband or medical issues) as first responder within policy.
