Hartford HealthCare’s Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT, seeks a food service helper to support cafeteria operations within a busy hospital dining environment. You will prepare patient trays, assist in food preparation, and maintain clean, safe service areas across main location and offsite campuses as needed.

Qualifications include the ability to read, write and speak English and basic math; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides routine food service support in a hospital cafeteria, including preparing patient trays, replenishing supplies, washing dishes, and operating cafeteria equipment.
• Operates kitchen and cafeteria equipment such as turbo chef, panini machine, pizza oven, cash register and dish machine.
• Assists in serving hot and cold food and handles items according to safety procedures to avoid contamination.
• Attends and participates in departmental meetings and in-services to promote continuous improvement for self and the department.
• Performs other related duties as required.
