Job summary

Visiting Angels Evansville is seeking At Home Caregivers to serve clients throughout Vanderburgh, Princeton, Mt. Vernon, Newburgh and surrounding areas.

This role supports daily living activities, personal care, and companionship in clients' homes with flexible schedules and opportunities for growth. You will assist with mobility, meal planning, light housekeeping, medications reminders, and transportation to appointments, while following individual care plans and maintaining high safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at scheduled times.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Willing and able to comply with state and office health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications.
• Provide assistance with mobility at home and during appointments/errands.
