Job summary

Visiting Angels Reading is seeking a compassionate Companion Caregiver to support seniors in the local community, including Temple and Reading. You will assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility support in clients’ homes.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, healthcare options, and opportunities for continued education. A background check and drug screen are required, with driving and reliable transportation essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits is a must.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping and meal planning.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise goals and assist with mobility.
• Prompt clients for medications on schedule and monitor health changes.
• Help with shopping and errands as needed.
• Support client in staying safe and independent at home.
