Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in the Kennesaw, GA area. The role uses a shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, offering hands-on experience across healthcare, education, finance and more.

Starting pay is $18 per hour with part-time hours and flexible scheduling. You may work irregular shifts with little notice, gaining site experience while supporting client security needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation required per federal/state/local laws; past criminal history considered per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Be at least 21 years old, or older if state requires.
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrate ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Strong written and oral communication; active listening and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
