Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Reception Attendant in Atlanta, GA. You will work across multiple sites, performing patrols, monitoring access, and responding to incidents while supporting clients in healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more.

The role offers 30–40 hours weekly with a shifting schedule and opportunities for advancement through paid training. Pay rate is $17.08 per hour, with benefits and a path to full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check and drug screen are required; licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
