Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in California at $18.50 per hour. The role uses a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts, offering flexibility to build a schedule while gaining site experience across Healthcare, Education, Finance, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws; may have criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• 18+ age requirement (21 for armed positions, if required by state).
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare incident reports; maintain logs as required by post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
