Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service, bag groceries, and assist customers at the register area.

You will keep the store clean, organize shelves, and help customers with loading bags into their cars when needed. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and a friendly, welcoming environment to ensure customers feel valued and return to the store.

Qualifications

• Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at checkout for customers
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout and locate products for price checks
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to questions about products
