Job summary

ESS is seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals in Jenkintown, PA for Jenkintown School District to support classroom teachers and assist students with special needs. The role reinforces learning through small-group work and individualized attention in a school setting.

Paraprofessionals assist with supervision, materials preparation, and daily administrative tasks while promoting students’ academic and personal growth. The position pays $130 per day with flexible scheduling across school days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PA Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Form 6004 required.
• Clearances: Acts 34, 114, 151, 168 required.
• Tuberculosis test/physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
