Job summary

Stillwater Area Public Schools is seeking a School Age Care Program Assistant for the Adventure Club at Afton-Lakeland Elementary. This full‑time role offers a split school-year schedule with a 6.5‑hour day, 5 days per week, and an hourly wage of $19.06–$20.30 with benefits.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, and current first aid and CPR certification within 120 days of starting. Training in child development or related areas is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess or obtain a current first aid and CPR certification (documentation to be submitted within 120 days).
• Desired candidate should have background in child development, child guidance, human relations, communications or recreational programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing quality school age child care programming for children.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment fostering social and emotional growth through learning, play and relationships.
• Work in a before/after school and summer program with year‑round opportunities.
• Maintain 6.5 hours per day, 5 days per week; hours during school year are a split shift: 6:00–8:00 AM and 1:30–6:00 PM; summer hours vary.
