Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in State College, PA is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and safety. You will assist with mobility, meals, and recreation while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork within the nursing staff.

The role requires completion of an approved personal care aide program, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtainable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program as applicable.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining and activities.
• Communicates resident status and appointments in writing.
