Job summary

Jovie of CA, WA, and MN is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support children from 6 weeks to 6 years, with a focus on play, reading, and crafts. The role offers an hourly wage and a flexible part-time schedule in a welcoming daycare setting.

Compensation: Hourly wage: $20-22 per hour

Spend your days with bright and energetic kiddos as a Preschool Assistant Teacher at our partner daycare and preschool. Are you a natural teacher or caregiver for young children? Do you giggle and get excited to see the wonder in children’s eyes when playing make‑believe, doing craft projects, or hearing a book for the first time? Do you need a flexible part‑time schedule?

Preschool Assistant Teacher positions are available working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. If you have experience as a babysitter, summer nanny, church nursery, or camp counselor, we’d like to hear from you!

About you

• You’re available at least 3 days per week (Mon–Fri) to work 4–9 hour shifts between 9am–5:30pm
• You genuinely enjoy children and are an engaging, creative child‑focused individual willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities
• You bring at least 1 year of childcare experience as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, teacher, or similar responsible caring role
• You can provide our team with 3 references, 2 related to working with children (paid or unpaid) and 1 character reference
• You’re at least 18 years of age or older
