Job summary

AKA Hotels + Hotel Residences in West Palm Beach is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to maintain cleanliness and presentation of all common areas and guest rooms. You will support the housekeeping team, transport linens, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests.

You should have at least a high school diploma, and about one year of housekeeping experience, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated energetic, self-motivated with a "can do" positive attitude.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral) preferred.
• Preferred background in Housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the overall standards of cleanliness and presentation of all common areas meet AKA standards across various areas (lobby, hallways, restrooms, fitness center, pool area, etc.).
• Assist the housekeeping team with waste removal and running linens/amenities to resident rooms.
• Support Room Attendant in stripping linens and removing trash from vacant rooms as assigned and their carts.
• Collect dirty linen from departed suites and transport to laundry department/collection bins.
• Inventory condition of room furnishing using the AKA Furnished Inventory and Condition Checklist; report damages.
• Document service requests when needed and report to immediate Supervisor.
• Communicate with residents in a professional and friendly manner in compliance with AKA service standards.
• Utilize chemicals according to directions and familiarize with MSDS sheets.
• Distribute clean bath and bed linen from laundry delivery area to stock rooms.
• Keep stock rooms clean and organized and remove garbage.
• Complete all room calls in a timely manner.
• Pick up and return to storage any previously used guest requests found in suites or hallways.
• Other duties as assigned.
