Job summary

Yanceyville Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Yanceyville, NC, is actively seeking a qualified COTA to join our rehab team. You will provide therapy under the supervision of an OTR and help identify patients needing rehab services, while documenting progress and ensuring physician orders are obtained.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, adherence to state guidelines, and opportunities to supervise junior staff.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
SNF experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
Identify appropriate patients and refer them to rehab accordingly.
Document patient participation and progress with daily notes and secure co-signature of the OTR.
Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
Attend facility and rehab meetings as needed by Supervisor.
Supervise junior COTA staff or students as needed.
Maintain professional relations with staff, patients, and families.
Provide in-service education regarding patient care to rehab staff and hospitals as needed.
