Job summary

SFS is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers to join our nationwide contractor network. This role offers a flexible, self-directed schedule with the opportunity to service some of the nation’s largest retailers.

Projects typically range from 12-20 hours per month, with some windows during the first two weeks of each month. As an independent contractor, you will review client instructions, perform merchandising tasks, inventory counts, and reporting via mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail, resets, auditing, or customer service.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
