Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide network of independent contractors for retail merchandising. This role offers flexible, project-based work across many retailers with windows rather than fixed schedules. Assignments generally require 12–20 hours per month, with some locations needing services in the first two weeks of each month.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to follow planograms and store instructions precisely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple short assignments.
• Good communication and problem solving abilities.
• Comfort with mobile devices for reporting and documentation.
• Available during retailer service windows, mainly weekday daytime hours.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, displays maintenance, and installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and properly presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed and accepted.
• Submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed.
