Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide network of independent contractors and seeks experienced Retail Merchandisers. This role offers flexible, project-based hours with typical assignments ranging 12–20 hours per month, performing merchandising, resets, inventories, and display maintenance across multiple retailers.

Ideal candidates work independently, travel between locations, and report progress via mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations.
• Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as desired and accepted.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
