Job summary

SFS is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers to join a nationwide independent contractor network. The role offers flexible, project-based work servicing major retailers, with 12–20 hours per month on average and occasional early-month service windows.

Build your own schedule and select projects that fit your availability. Ideal candidates have prior merchandising or related retail experience, can read planograms, and report via mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising or related fields.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• Bend, stoop, reach, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation between locations.
• Smartphone or tablet with internet access.
• Active email address for project communication.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as required.
• Complete reporting and project documentation with photos via mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day work is performed.
