Job summary

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is hiring part-time Respite Providers to support families in the Council Bluffs area. You will help give caregivers a break by providing respite for individuals with disabilities, with flexible hours and a schedule you set with families.

Work is up to 29 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends required. After initial trainings, you may work from home, with consistent communication expected to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must have some basic computer knowledge/skills.
• Need access to computer, tablet or cellphone to do documentation and punching in and out for timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite care to give parents or guardians a break for a person with a disability.
• Coordinate with families to set a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain clear communication and documentation for timekeeping and care routines.
