Job summary

Mercy is seeking Respiratory Therapists for flexible GIG roles in Illinois. You will provide direct patient care across respiratory services, consult on therapy effectiveness, and support physicians and nursing with expertise in respiratory care.

Eligible candidates hold NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT), possess a valid state RCP license, and may require ACLS/PALS. W-2 status and shift incentives are offered, with 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Holds NBRC credential: RRT or CRT; ACLS required; PALS for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervision.
