Qualifications

• Licensed dental hygienist with RDH license in the applicable state.
• Strong foundation in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment plan development.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient data privacy.
• Ability to provide direct patient care with excellent interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including periodontal charting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the dentist.
• Administer local anesthesia under supervision where licensed.
• Provide fluoride treatments and apply sealants.
• Take and develop dental X-rays and other imaging.
• Educate patients on preventive oral health practices.
• Maintain high standards of disinfection and sterilization.
• Manage patient charts and records in compliance with regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance as needed.
