Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support outpatient therapy across multiple locations including UPMC Muncy. The role provides treatments under supervision, with a focus on patient care, departmental operations, and a positive clinical environment.

The PTA will deliver skilled interventions, document services, and collaborate with the Physical Therapist to adjust plans based on patient progress. This flexible position supports a patient-centered outpatient program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited PTA program with an Associate degree.
• Strong commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments according to established plans of care.
• Monitor patient response and communicate needed adjustments to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist with patient assessments across age groups (pediatric–geriatric).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
• Ensure documentation meets organizational, regulatory, and co-signature requirements.
