Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy services under a Physical Therapist's supervision in Miami and Hollywood, FL. The role includes coordinating with the PT, maintaining documentation, and assisting with adaptive equipment to enhance patient function.

The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted PTA license in the state, is BLS/CPR certified, and has strong communication and organizational skills with a preference for 1+ year of PTA experience

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted PTA license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of PTA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to neurological injuries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient's Plan of Treatment.
• Confer with Physical Therapist regarding the plan, progress toward goals, and any questions or concerns.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment and department areas.
• Report equipment problems to maintain good working order.
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assist in obtaining adaptive equipment to improve function.
• Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation per regulations.
• Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and compliance programs and applicable laws.
• Attend and participate in staff development programs and continuing education as required.
