Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Part-time Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to provide services under supervision in the Rehab Unit. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and coordinating with other disciplines to support a complete rehabilitative process.

Responsibilities include training patients and families on equipment use, planning discharge, and continuously assessing patient progress.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from a PTA training program accredited by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Required: State PTA License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

• Providing treatment and services within license scope, as required by law and regulation.
• Implementing a written treatment plan and administering treatment for each patient according to goals.
• Training patients and families in use of medical equipment and recommending equipment when necessary.
• Planning for patient discharge and communicating with patients, families, and community.
• Continuously assessing patient status and effects of treatment.
• Reviewing goals with patient and family during the plan of care.
