Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a part-time per diem Physical Therapist at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. You will assess, plan and implement physical therapy care, collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care across age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, adhering to APTA standards, and maintaining licensure and BLS. Weekend/holiday work and computer documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with a BS or MS in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current licensure verified by Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current BLS required.
• Adheres to APTA Code and Standards.
• Must be able to evaluate and treat patients in any hospital unit within professional scope of practice.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems used for documentation, scheduling and charging.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality care.
• Assess and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric.
• Utilize growth and development principles appropriate to the patients’ age to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Additional training may be required to work with specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice.
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
