Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager I for our Construction Materials Team in the United States. You will lead materials testing projects from start to finish, manage client relationships, and ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

We value collaboration, ownership, and the ability to deliver high‑quality solutions. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least eight years of project experience are preferred; strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or related area preferred.
• Eight years of project experience in an applicable field with increasing responsibility.
• Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and decision‑making abilities; capable of innovative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction materials testing projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage client relationships and communicate project scope, schedule, and budget clearly.
• Develop and manage project budgets; monitor costs and ensure profitability.
• Oversee contractual negotiations and change requests.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Organize regular project meetings and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Support safe operations and regulatory compliance; mentor team members in PM best practices.
