Kei-Ai Los Angeles Healthcare Center in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist on a PRN basis to join a high-performing rehabilitation team. The role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to impact residents’ quality of life in a respected skilled nursing setting.

The position requires a CA SLP license (CFY/CCC-SLP may apply), a Master’s/Doctoral degree in SLP, and current CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unrestricted CA SLP license required.
• CF-Y candidates must be working toward full CA SLP licensure.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification required for fully licensed candidates; CFY eligible encouraged.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ongoing continuing education per CA board requirements.
• Experience in skilled nursing or related medical setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations per orders.
• Assess speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and dysphagia disorders.
• Develop and modify individualized plans of care with measurable goals.
• Provide skilled interventions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategies.
• Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and dysphagia management.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on techniques and adaptations.
• Lead discharge planning and safe transitions of care.
• Communicate findings to physicians and team while protecting HIPAA.
