VCU Health is seeking a Sonographer II for a PRN, flexible shift in the Richmond area. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound exams across age groups, interpreting results with a licensed practitioner, and maintaining patient care and education throughout procedures.

The candidate will work under supervision in radiology, ensuring compliance with ALARA principles, safety standards, and high-quality imaging. ARRT certifications and one year of experience are expected.

Formación

• Certification by ARRT(S) and/or RDMS/RDCS/CCI as required for hire.
• One year of Sonographer/Technologist experience.
• Graduation from an accredited sonography or radiologic program.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations per order and protocol.
• Select frequencies and transducers for the target area.
• Educate patients and document imaging findings.
• Assist in interventional procedures and observe ALARA.
• Mentor students and ensure quality in Radiology.

Educación

CAAHEP/CMA Accredited Program in medical/cardiac/vascular sonography

JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or ARRT-recognized
