Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for PRN, rotating shifts. Experience in women’s postpartum and nursery units is required.

The role emphasizes safe patient care, patient and family education, and emotional support, with BLS certification kept current. Minimum training includes graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience; a Bachelor of Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent patient care and educate patients and their families about health conditions.
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families.
