Job summary

Ginger Cove is seeking compassionate RN or LPN professionals for PRN/On-Call roles across all shifts in Annapolis, MD. You will provide essential nursing care and clinical support, ensuring safe, high-quality resident care and coordination with an experienced clinical team.

The position offers flexible PRN/On-Call opportunities, a supportive work environment, and a focus on resident dignity and quality of life. Prior experience in long-term care and dementia care strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license as Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Maryland.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Experience in senior communities in a long-term care facility.
• Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
• At least one year full-time clinical experience in Home Health or related program.
• Strong communication with residents, families, doctors, and team.
• Ability to organize, supervise, delegate and provide leadership.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to complete state-required education within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care including personal care, feeding, medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Perform regular rounds and monitor residents’ condition, safety and well-being.
• Submit shift reports and ensure continuity of care.
• Assess conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
• Transcribe physician orders and administer medications as ordered.
• Contribute to care plans using restorative nursing principles.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Provide emergency care and notify physicians or families as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and report changes.
• Review care plans, medications, and prescriptions for safety and effectiveness.
• Respond to inquiries about residents; communicate information appropriately.
• Monitor supplies and maintain nurses’ station and prep areas.
