Job summary

Advanced Health Care in Reno, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN, flexible schedule in a long-term care setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans to promote health, safety, and well-being.

The role requires validating licenses, delivering skilled nursing interventions, administering medications, coordinating with the care team, educating residents and families, and participating in care conferences to drive optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Some nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and procedures in long-term care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ health status, vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and team members to establish goals of care.
• Regularly reassess needs and adjust care plans to changing conditions.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and follow physician orders and protocols.
• Administer medications, wound care, monitor vitals, and manage medical equipment.
• Coordinate with therapy, dietary, and social services for integrated care.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
