Job summary

Henderson Nursing and Senior Living Care is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide skilled respiratory care to residents in a supportive, interdisciplinary setting. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, treatments such as oxygen therapy and airway clearance, education for residents and families, and close collaboration with nursing and therapy teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the NBRC.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and ongoing evaluations of residents.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, inhaled medications, and other respiratory therapies.
• Set up, monitor, and manage CPAP, BiPAP, and other non-invasive respiratory support equipment as ordered.
• Educate residents and families regarding respiratory conditions, medications, equipment, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care.
