Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home & Community Neuro Rehabilitation team in Hollywood, Florida. You will provide individualized rehabilitation services in real-world environments to help patients regain independence and confidence where they live, work, and engage in daily life.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
• Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
• Confers with Physical Therapist regularly regarding patient’s plan of treatment, status and goals.
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and treatment areas.
• Reports problems with department equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Communicates patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record and assists in securing adaptive equipment.
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation per regulations.
• Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and applicable state/federal laws.
• Attends staff development programs and maintains/advances clinical practice skills.
