Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with ARRT‑certified imaging professionals. You will ensure patient safety, deliver high‑quality images, and participate in stereotactic biopsy procedures as needed.

Qualifications

ARRT Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice.
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
ARRT Mammography certification or current cross‑training in mammography.

Responsibilities

Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
Prepare patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
Perform radiologic mammography exams including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainage, etc.
Operate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
Document procedures and any adverse reactions; record patient information and results.
Follow protocols, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and report equipment failures.
